Saint-Barthélemy is obviously not short of heavenly beaches. Fortunately, there is something for everyone. If you come to visit Saint Barthelemy with your rental car, you will certainly want to discover some of them. So to help you choose, here is a brief description of each of these beautiful stretches of fine sand:
The charming Shell Beach is located a few steps from the center of the island’s capital city, Gustavia. You will find it below Fort Karl. This beautiful sandy beach is bordered by magnificent rocks. It is ideal for a quiet swim or for small snorkeling sessions. Easily accessible, we recommend that you combine it with a visit to Gustavia.
Colombier beach is located in the Anse (or cove) of the same name. You will find it in the northwest of the island and Gustavia. This vast expanse of fine sand is ideal for peaceful swimming in an intimate setting. You will have no trouble finding a spot of sand to spread your towel. You will then be able to enjoy the sun and the beautiful panoramas that unfold before your eyes.

The beach is located a little north of Gustavia. If it is not recommended for peaceful swimming, it is ideal for surfing. You will have a perfect playground for this activity.
Nikki Beach is located a little south of Anse des Cayes. Located in Baie Saint-Jean, this beach is bordered by translucent waters. Numerous hotels, restaurants and cafes are located nearby. The beautiful Nikki Beach is thus ideal for lazing around, enjoying a cocktail by the sea or for a quiet swim in peaceful waters. For a moment of relaxation during the day or for a little entertainment in the evening, we highly recommend it.

The beach of Corossol is certainly one of the best in the Lesser Antilles. More frequented by locals than by tourists, it has kept all its authenticity. All around the beach extends a fishing village with a typical Caribbean atmosphere. You will be able to admire some joyfully painted boats, as well as charming wooden creole huts. Villas are also located on the heights. The water is delicious, the fine sand and the rocks are perfect for a snorkeling session. If you are looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere in an authentic setting, then we can only recommend it!
The vast and beautiful Flamands beach is located in the northwest of the island, not far from Colombier’s beach. This beautiful stretch of fine sand is ideal for surfing. You can also enjoy the sun in all tranquillity as well as charming walks with your feet in the water. This heavenly beach has an enchanting and relaxing setting. It is not very crowded, so it will delight travelers who want to enjoy a little peace and quiet.
Gouverneur beach is another beach to rest and enjoy a moment of tranquility. You will find this beautiful little secluded cove in the south of Saint Barthelemy. Sheltered by the cliffs, this beautiful stretch of sand is ideal for a snorkeling session. Bordered by crystal clear waters, it abounds in underwater life. So don’t miss to go there during your stay on the island!
On the other side of the cliff is Saline beach, a beautiful neighbor of Gouverneur beach. This fine sandy beach is also bordered by beautiful blue and crystal clear waters. Here you will enjoy absolute calm. Tourists rarely come here, preferring the more accessible beaches to the north. There are few shops here, just like on Gouverneur beach. On the other hand, travelers will appreciate its soft sand, its dreamy scenery and its welcoming waters.
Located in the northeast of the island of Saint Barthélemy, the beach of Grand Cul de Sac is located in a bay with calm waters. Simple and picturesque, it will seduce all travelers. The latter can surf there, on a very quiet spot. You can also simply enjoy the sun and swim peacefully. If the beach is too crowded, you can also visit the fantastic beach of Petit Cul-de-Sac.
The entire Anse du Grand Cul-de-Sac is bordered by numerous restaurants and hotels. You will find all the necessary amenities for a relaxing afternoon at the water’s edge. If you wish to spend a stay in an idyllic setting, we recommend the surroundings of the beach of Grand Cul de Sac. Not far away is even a must-see in Saint-Barthélemy: the Morne du Vitet, the highest point of the island.
Neighboring Nikki Beach, Saint Jean beach is located in the bay of the same name. It is known as the spot of the island of Saint Barts for water activities. But above all, this beach is located at the end of the airfield. You will be able to see the planes taking off from your towel or your deckchair!
Very popular with tourists, this stretch of white sand is bordered by crystal clear turquoise waters. Like its neighbor, many shops and hotels are located nearby. But rest assured, like many of Saint Barth’s beaches, it’s easy to find a place to rest in peace.
